Vietnamese enterprises receive Int’l Asia Pacific Quality Award

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan has expressed hope that more and more Vietnamese enterprises will participate in the Vietnam Quality Award and the International Asia Pacific Quality Award.

Addressing the awards ceremony held in Hanoi on December 7, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan highlighted efforts made by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the General Department of Standardisation, Measurement, and Quality and localities in supporting the Vietnam Quality Award.

Mr Nhan emphasised that over the past 13 years, the winning enterprises have established their position in both local and international markets by improving their quality and competitiveness.

The deputy PM expressed hope that the organising board would continue to invite not only production and service enterprises but also enterprises involved in the health and education sectors to participate in the International Asia Pacific Quality Award.

This year, 117 enterprises have won the Vietnam Quality Award. Six enterprises that received the Vietnam Quality Golden Award and certificates of merit from the Prime Minister are Binh Long Rubber Company (southern Binh Phuoc province), the Vietnam Electric Cable Corporation (CADIVI), Khanh Hoa Yen Sao Company (central Khanh Hoa province), Viglacera Joint Stock Company (northern Quang Ninh province), Thanh Hoa Material - Pharmacy Joint Stock Company, and the Hai Duong Safe Water Co. Ltd.

The International Asia Pacific Quality Award went to Samsung Vina Electronics Co,Ltd and Minh Dung Veterinary and Medicines Production Co.,Ltd in Vietnam.
